Oh highschool... =P

So Ron and I have jumped on the bandwagon and drew self-portraits of ourselves now, and in high school.

Here is mine.
And this is Ron's.

High school is one of those things I am glad I never have to repeat. Ugh =P

When are they going to make a program that can take the images you see in your head and print them out or something. Like, so you don't need to draw or write anything. Fun things just fall out of your head and onto the screen. I'd like one of those. And some money.

*o* I feel something new coming. I'm sure the feeling will pass shortly and I'll fall back into my loafing ways.

Today's comic was inspired by events that took place yesterday in Mike's life. Goodness, I really like this guy. I dunno what it is but every few days he has an interesting story to tell me. My favorite is still the "I love it" story. I will make a comic for it one day.

so about mice and this man... )

Also, found a new sushi place the other day. I stopped by to pick up a menu and business card today. They seem like a nice place and its real close to my house. Right on waters. It's called i ♥ ai sushi.

I'm debating going for lunch tomorrow on my own, or waiting for when del shows up so we can try it out.

ahgflakjlf...someone get me sandpaper for my hands. I can't stand this peeling hand feeling any longer! Its so gross. I don't like it. I blame the nail polish remover I used the other day. I need to file a complaint to those people.

Advisory Board Nominations

We'd like to remind you that the nomination process for LiveJournal Advisory Board user-representatives has begun. If you think you're fit for the job, now's the time to nominate yourself! After all, you're the only who can do it. In two weeks, on the 22nd, the voting process will begin; we'll remind you about it again here.

If you're interested in keeping up with the nominations, watch [info]lj_election_en. We'll post the results and announce the winner by the end of the day on May 30th. The new user-representatives will be seated on June 1st. Further details can also be found in [info]lj_2008.

stupid hangnail

Or atleast I think it is a hangnail. Its like on the side of the nail. You know what I'm talking about? Also, my hands are peeling. I have no idea why. I use lotion so I don't understand why my hands are peeling. Or maybe, I'm evolving! All my skin will peel off to show beautifully soft shiny skin and wings! Shoot! I'm gonna have wings! How sweet is that.

And now for something dynamic! failure )

Thats enough from me! Hopefully no tv later and since I've already posted my comic I'll have no reason to come online! So no internet! Whoohoo...let's see how this goes.

So, today I get back from internship with all this energy and want to do things, then i saw my dad brought home new movies to watch. So I watched 27 dresses. The tv promptly sucked all will out of my body and I'm tired so I'll be going to bed. Sad really. Still, I enjoyed the movie and hope to make sappy comics that will make me millions upon millions of dollars. The end.

Advisory Board Nominations Open

Advisory Board Nominations Begin

This morning we are opening the nomination process for the user-representative positions on the LiveJournal Advisory Board. A full description of the process can be found here.

To get you started, here are the basic things you should know:

- You may only nominate yourself
- Each nominee will need 100 motions of support in order to be eligible to be a candidate
- We ask that you keep your comments on the nomination posts to "I support this nomination" or something to that effect; be kind to those who will need to count the "supports", please.
- Although the nominations and election poll will take place in [info]lj_election_en, you do not need to watch the community in order to keep up with the election; we'll announce everything here as well.

Everyone here at LiveJournal is looking forward to this first-ever User-Representative election! We'd like to thank everyone who is participating. Some words from our current Advisory Board members:

danah boyd: “LiveJournal is filled with very passionate users. These users have helped shaped LJ's various communities over the last decade and it gives me great joy that LJ is recognizing and incorporating users' voices into the decision-making processes. Having user representatives from different parts of LJ on the Advisory Board will help make sure that the company is meeting the needs of its diverse constituents.”

Esther Dyson: "I'm sure we'll learn a lot from the process, and later on from the two users selected as well. Especially, I hope that the discussions before the voting will be more meaningful and more focused on policy than those in some offline campaigns."

Brad Fitzpatrick: "It's cool that SUP is getting users involved with the LiveJournal decision-making process. I look forward to seeing who the community elects and the results of our efforts working together."

Professor Lawrence Lessig: “The user elections will provide a critical check on LJ's process of maintaining a valuable and trustworthy environment for the LJ community. The mandate of the elections will give the user representatives pride of place among the members of the Advisory Board. Each of us will look to them to guide us in our judgment about how best to make LJ the community we all aspire that it will be. I look forward to welcoming the user representatives, and learning a great deal from them.”

[info]chasethestars has also made some banners for you to use, if you'd like to show your support for the candidate of your choice!

having long nails bites cause when you break them its annoying. they are all getting cut today! i was doing so well too. can't believe one broke already. anymahoot today's comic was supposed to be a continuation of yesterdays but i really couldn't find an excuse to keep hacking up spanish. so i'll keep messing up english! yay! i'll try again some other time and actually put effort into whats being written because honestly, its just sad when you mess up a language you should be fluent in. durhur, i think that means i should use proper grammar when writing in this journal. let's see how long that last.

I have finally found an envelope that can hold my minis! I also finished the $5 commission asked of me. I was going to post a picture of what the commission looks like online but since no one else showed interest in commissions I don't think it really matters. The commission was to draw female Ranma fighting panda Genma. Want to know something funny? I've never watched or read Ranma1/2. SO, I went on google and looked up some pictures and information. I knew the basic plot from what I had over heard at conventions and people talking at anime club meetings but I had no idea how funny the show was! First I drew the picture and then I started watching the show on youtube. Way to cute. I want to watch them all. Anyone have them on dvd or vhs?

That is all for now.

give me a reason

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Came home so tired yesterday. I had the opportunity to draw storyboards for the animation studio I'm working on. They had me draw it directly on the computer using a cintiq. It was fun but challenging for me. I didn't realize a month of not practicing doing storyboards could really make a difference. I didn't finish the whole thing but it wasn't that bad. I'm learning a lot and thats what matters.

Still looking for a job that gives me money.

TODAY'S COMIC is in savi spanish. meaning, if anything is spelt wrong its because i wrote it how it sounds and didn't look up how to correctly spell it. also, its a mix of ecuadorian, dominican, cuban, and puerto rican dialects of spanish. why the big mix? because i was raised in Tampa. My mom would talk to me in dominican dialect, my dad would correct me in ecuadorian, around town people spoke cuban and puerto rican, and there are a lot of mexicans but i don't really use any of their words. I dunno, if you live in florida I think you understand what i'm going on about. when i went to spain people would ask if i were dominican, then when i said i was american they were a little surprised but not so much. i feel my english accent is so bad when i speak spanish, but the lovely thing about spanish speaking people is they don't hate on you if you mess up their language. now, if only they'd try learning more english if they plan on living in the us....well thats another story!

I wonder what the girls are going to be doing. or if they'll keep talking spanish.
