MegaCon 2008!

I was actually able to squeeze an Orlando trip in amidst all that I've had to do this quarter. The con itself was OK - it was in a different, smaller part of the convention center this year. Two of my friends had travel troubles that involved snow-ins, lost luggage, and late arrivals. Overall, however, we had a good time, and it's always wonderful to see familiar faces that I haven't seen in I don't know how long.

Barbara Chapman, Andy Nelson, and Seth Jones shared a couple of tables with me in the Artists' Alley. Everyone's setup, especially Barbara's, was amazing. How unprepared was I?? Well I had a pretty cool "display rack" made out of Tinker Toys...

And Seth, showing off KaviDog Press (his publishing company), Andrea Bell's fabulous novel The Wendy That Stayed, and those adorable Eppies (he's signing books for the ladies...)

And Andy, who racked up on commissions, and his really cool paper dolls...

It was great! A much needed vacation for yours truly to be sure. MegaCon is one of those conventions that I like to do every year because it's big enough to be exciting and fun, yet small enough not to swallow you whole. I'm off to get ready for 2009!
