Show Aftermath, and Comics in 24 Hours

Ah yeah, life is good.

Looks pretty good, don't it? The reception is this Thursday, from 5 to 7pm. What a relief that it's up.

The Annual 24 Hour Comic went swimmingly I think! I was there from 6pm to midnight, so it hadn't quite gotten wicked crazy by the time I left. Apparently the third floor was trashed, though - ;) Eegad! Here are some pics of the kids in action:

As you can see some were REALLY prepared, practically bringing their respective studios with them. Others - not so much:

All in all I think there were some really good funnybooks that came from it, and some kids really shone with their speed and skill in such a grueling time frame.

I salute everyone who participated - I just can't do that anymore in my old age HA! This weekend is the Norris Hall Halloween party and the weekend after THAT is CAF. Whheeeewwwww....can't wait for winter break.

I went to Trisha's for a house-warming "Save-the-date" party Saturday night, which was SO nice and very much needed. I don't get to let my hair down that often, if ever, and getting out of the house to drink with friends and meet new people was extremely welcome. I'd love to host a party at our house, but I don't know if anyone would want to come, since we live all the way the hell down Coffeebluff. Ah well - too much to do around the house anyway. Now that the weather is getting cooler, and my major art tasks are waning, I think I can concentrate on my yard again, and that porch I keep threatening to build out front. Winter break will be the ideal time for that.

Four more weeks, folks. Four more weeks.
