"Monstrous Gallimaufry" Show-down! (Part 2)
Now on to the matting and framing frenzy. My workstation:
It turns out the frames I ordered from Frames USA aren't going to arrive on time, so I bought some Michael's "emergency frames" for a few of the odd-sized ones. Every piece will be in a wide black satin frame, with a white mat, cut by yours truly. Fortunately, I used to be a framer, so this isn't any problem. The trouble is the mess, of course :)
I finished framing most of the pieces - now I need to give them paper backings and hanging hardware. I think I have some left over from the Gallery Espresso show, so that won't be any problem. I WILL have to make a quick trek to Michael's to get a couple of frames for some pieces that I've decided to include at the last minute (that happens from time to time). All in all, those who are ready for their back dressings look pretty good...
I still have some drawings in the works, like the "Death by Fashion" series - but here are a couple who are ready to be trimmed and framed. They will receive frames recycled from the Gallery show...
I have a long 24 hours ahead of me. Don't follow my example kids - I'm the poster child of BAD time management!
